It’s Saturday night and the Moon is waxing gibbous.
The wasps are in the river.
The Politicians are still lying,
While the earth is crying
And babies are dying.
The Occupy Movement is slowly fading as a memory.

So much has been going on over the last few days that I’m feeling the need to share in order to gain some perspective. Not extremely elegant but I will just write this as a diary with dates.
Dec 24 AM. Went to give out some presents to a group of underprivileged kids. One of my friends teaches them salsa during the week in what I’m assuming is some sort of after-school program. The thing that struck me is the quality of energy these kids release with the dancing, something I have sometimes noticed in myself. I have been on a spiritual quest for my adult life which has taken me to the ends of the earth. The search began with transcendental meditation and the work of Thoreau and Emerson during my last year in a New England prep-school. My curiosity then shifted like the wind towards the East. I studied Buddhism and Eastern philosophy which was the motive force behind in my life energy throughout my early to mid twenties.
